Planning permission in Sussex
For events on private land, temporary structures are generally permitted development for up to 28 days per calendar year without requiring planning permission. The South Downs National Park covers a significant portion of Sussex; within the Park, permitted development rights are unchanged but we recommend alerting your local planning authority for events involving large structures in visible landscape positions.
